The first recorded man to be filled with the Holy Spirit was an artist / craftsman, Bezalel. His name means “In the shadow of God”

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works,…….”     Ex 31:1-4

Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. And I said, “What are these coming to do?” So he said, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”  Zech 1:20-21

As artists we are not only creating beauty, we are waging war against all that opposes the kingdom of God on earth. His kingdom is bound up / interwoven into our hearts within the person of the Holy Spirit. Create from His perspective, interweave His kingdom into the works of our hands and let His voice be heard throughout the earth.

What is His message? Jesus declared it from the cross, “I love you and have removed all condemnation from you. Come to Me and BE loved and love.”

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 John 4:10-11

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.  Isaiah 60:1-2

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Cor 4:6

Jesus Christ in us, The Lion of Judah is shattering darkness. Darkness is broken, freeing those who were bound in it, to it and through it. Now we are free to perceive the glory of Papa’s creation from His perspective.

Christ in you, the hope of glory.
